Monastrell variety is the native variety of Yecla and the Region of Murcia. It is a variety that adapts perfectly to the climatic and orographic conditions of this area, since it supports temperature differences; summers with high temperatures and long and cold winters.

Monastrell is an indigenous variety with compact grape-cluster and small and round-berry. This variety first appeared in documents in the 15th century although its use to make local wines is undoubtedly older.

Monastrell provides meaty, complex and aromatic wines full of colour. And it is here, in our area, where we have such magnificent weather and soil conditions that Monastrell delivers its full potential.

Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, Tempranillo, Tintorera and Petit Verdot, as red wines, and Verdejo, Macabeo and Airén, as white wines, are the courteous courtiers that accompany the queen Monastrell in our vineyards.
